I believe in the local churc h as taught in the New Testament. However, today the church has typically become a place where believers are distracted from the life that should be operating in them. I have been without a church for many years but not without fellowship or without spiritual growth. I would love to find a church that is doing it's job -- edifying the believers but it is almost impossible to find. I am now a missionary in Nairobi without church backing but with the leading and power of the Holy Spirit. I am teaching the belivers here that their spiritual lives don't depend on their religious activities, but on the grace of God. Church has become the idolatry of the day. Thank you for your ariticle.

Unless I have misread your article on Baal worship, you appear to say that Christians do not need to observe the Sabbath or the Holy Days that were clearly observed by Christ and the Apostles, and the church long after the death of Christ. The Holy Days and the Sabbath will be kept in the Millennium--see Is. 63 and Zechariah 14. Anyone can download free an excellent book on the Sabbath and one on the Holy Days from www.ucg.org.

I agree most heartily. I know that we as bible believing christian do not observe Isreali feasts and holy days. But I believe as we obey Gods comandment to study the scriptures in 2nd Tim. 2:15 we should study the feasts of Israel. By so doing we cannot make the mistake of confusing the Jewish passover with Easter' I have been offered an opportunity to teach in a baptist church and I mentioned teaching said feasts. The pastor told me not to as they are not important. I do not belong to any organized church as an official member. The pastor also pressured me to join his church as a condition to teach. Am I wrong to think teaching these things as important?
